"We need your help with the fight against ALS. ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease is growing in numbers of patients. The Alabama ALS Association depends strictly on local funding. This funding provides information, patient care and other forms of assistance. The Downtown Music Fest is a way that you can assist with funding by purchasing a corporate table or general admission ticket. All net proceeds go to ALS. Last year's Downtown Music Fest was a huge success. Please help make this year bigger and better and enjoy some good entertainment in the process." -Terry Collins " I am very excited about the second MusicFest for ALS. Last year's event raised more than forty thousand dollars and I feel sure we'll surpass that this year. I'm thrilled that this year's event will star THE ATLANTA RHYTHM SECTION. I put that band together in 1970 and the success they enjoyed makes me proud. For the first time in twenty years, four of the original members will be on stage at the Dothan Civic Center for the DOWNTOWN MUSICFEST on August 20. Bassist Paul Goddard, singer Rodney Justo, guitarist J.R. Cobb, and keyboardist Dean Daughtry will be together again playing the music which made them one of the top bands in the southern music world. The Civic Center will rock." -Buddy Buie |
